Covid-19 Catch Up Funding
The Government announced £1billion of funding to support children and young people to be able to catch up for lost time due to school closures. This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Special schools will receive £240 per pupil for the 2020 to 2021 academic year.
Schools should use this funding for specific activities to support their pupils to catch up for lost teaching over the last year in line with the curriculum expectations for the upcoming year.
