Before starting my role as Teaching Assistant I ran my own successful Childminding business for 11 years caring for children from Early years up to secondary. 

With having 2 children who have a diagnoses on the Autism Spectrum, I experience the daily demands and challenges families face with having young people with special needs and all the processes they have to go through to get the right help to support them.

By using my personal and working experience I decided that I wanted to be able to help others and felt working as a Teaching Assistant in a specials needs school would be the right place for me to start.  In September 2020 I started working at Venture Academy, who have given me the opportunity to full fill this ambition enabling me to help others and make a different for their future.
